Week beginning Monday, 5th May

In our Enquiry Theme this week, we will be creating a final product (a bridge) linked to our designs. We will be selecting from a range of materials to make our bridges.

In Computing, we will use the totalling tools in 2Calculate and solve a simple puzzle.  In R.E. we will learn about the Jewish and Christian story of David and Goliath. 

In Maths this week, we will continue learning about fractions. We will be learning how to recognise and find three quarters of a shape, a set of objects and a number. We will use concrete and pictorial resources to support understanding and develop confidence.   

In English, we will begin to look at a new book called Rosie Revere Engineer by Andrea Beaty. The children will learn how to use the subordinating conjunction ‘when’ in sentences to describe how things work. We will also learn how to use an apostrophe for singular possession and for simple contractions.
