Week beginning Monday, 5th May

In Maths, we will consolidate our knowledge of multiplication and division and begin our new series of work on Fractions. We will begin by recognising half of an object or a shape.

For English, we start our new story ‘Yeti and the Bird’ by Nadia Shareen. We start by writing rules for friendship, learning more about the characters and then write a letter offering advice.

In D+T, we will be tasting different fruits, sharing whether we like or dislike them and which fruits complement each other. Then we will be designing fruit kebabs with a repeating pattern.

For our enquiry, we will also have a special visitor to discuss ‘Where does my food come from?’. 

During RE, we will be learning more about Jesus including the way Christians have different thoughts about him. We will be learning and retelling the story of Zacchaeus, acting out different roles. 

In Music, we are continuing to learn our term’s music; ‘Your imagination’, singing and playing the glockenspiels.
