Week beginning Monday, 28th September

In English, we will start to read a new text ‘Dear Earth’ by Isabel Otter and Clara Anganuzzi.  We will be looking at writing in first person about places we’d like to explore. We will also be using adjectives to describe animals.  

In Phonics, we will continue to learn Phase 5 graphemes ‘oy’, ‘ir’, ‘ue’, and ‘aw’ and on Friday we will be reviewing the sounds.  

In Maths, we will be comparing groups by matching and learning how to use the inequality symbols  < > =.  

In our Enquiry Theme, we will learn about what Martin Luther King did and how Martin Luther King is seen as a leader and an inspirational person in history.   

In RE, we will learn that the Ten Commandments were rules for living harmoniously, and the children will write their own rules for living. 

In Computing, we will start our new unit called ‘Creative Computing’. We will begin to look at digital art and learn how to recreate a piece of artwork using 2Paint.
