Week beginning Monday, 23rd March

This week we will finish our enquiry theme ‘Who Lives Happily Ever After?’ by retelling the story using props and then using our phonics skills to write simple sentences about the story ‘Little Red Riding Hood’.  

We will also be learning about seasonal changes and during Muddy Explorers we will look for what signs of spring in our school environment.  

During Maths, we are learning to recognise and name a range of 2D and 3D shapes. We will explore some of the properties of 3D shapes and look to see what 2D shapes we can see within the 3D shapes. On Thursday we will enjoy sharing stories and finding out which characters live happily ever after. On Friday we will take part in our Easter Service in the Minster. During the week we will decorate and participate in our class egg rolling competition.
