Week beginning Monday, 26th January

We will begin the week celebrating Australia day on Monday. During the day we will learn about Australia and create some art work linked to animals that live in Australia. We will also make Anzac biscuits.  

Following on from this we will continue with our Enquiry Theme ‘Where am I?’ but begin to learn about China. We will look on a map and globe and talk about where to find China. During Literacy, we will listen to the story ‘The Magic Paintbrush’ and write about what we would paint if we hd a magic paintbrush. 

In Maths we will be learning about the numbers 6,7 and 8. We will learn to recognise the numbers and how to correctly form the numeral. We will explore one more and one less and how to make 6, 7 and 8. In Phonics we will learn ure er ow and the HRSW tall ball
