Week beginning Monday, 23rd February

Our Enquiry Theme question this term is, ‘Lift off! Is there anyone out there?’. We will be asking children what they know about ‘Space’ and what they would like to find out.  

In English, we will be reading the beginning of our new story ‘Astro Girl’. We will be making predictions and later, writing in role to consider our main character. 

For Maths, we will be moving on to our Place Value (within 50) unit, counting up to 50, including in tens 20, 30, 40 and 50. We will also be making groups of 10s.  

In Science, we will  be ‘Caring for our planet’- asking- why is it important to look after our planet? We will be making seed bombs to help develop spaces for wildlife to thrive.
