Protocol for Declaration of Interests

1. Introduction

At Minster Trust for Education, we are committed to transparency and integrity. In accordance with the Academy Trust Handbook and the Nolan Principles, we publish declarations of interest for all individuals involved in governance and leadership.

2. Who Must Declare

• Members (available via Trust website)
• Trustees (available via Trust website)
• Local Governors
• Senior Trust Leaders (e.g. CEO, CFO) – available via Trust website)
• Staff with significant financial decision-making responsibilities

3. What Must Be Declared

• Business Interests: Directorships, partnerships, or employment with suppliers
• Governance Roles: Trusteeships or governorships at other institutions
• Family Relationships: Close family ties with staff or other trustees
• Other Interests: Any personal or financial interest that could be perceived as a conflict

4. When to Declare

• On appointment
• Annually
• As soon as an interest arises or changes
