PE & Sport Premium

Each year the school receives a sports premium grant from the DFE.  This is spent to support the participation of pupils in a range of sport and physical education activity and we publish a report to explain how much has been spent, what it has been spent on and how this has helped to develop sport and PE for pupils at Lowe's Wong Infant School. 

There are 5 priority improvement areas idenitifed in the grant conditions:

• Increasing confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sporting activities prioritising CPD and training where needed.
• Increasing engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity and sporting activities
• Raising the profile of PE and sport across the school, to support whole school improvement
• Offer a broader and more equal experience of a range of sports and physical activities to all pupils and ensure equal access to sport for boys and girls
• Increasing participation in competitive sport
